DC Comics: On Wednesday, August 31st, DC Comics will launch a historic renumbering of the entire DC Universe line of comic books with 52 first issues. Here’s your chance to get the new issue #1 of your favorite comic books like Action Comics,  Justice League, Batman, Detective Comics, and Nightwing BEFORE they increase in value.  While some may be skeptical about this new event, DC is blowing the budget by hiring some of the top writers and artists in the industry.

Action Comics #1: The one and only Grant Morrison returns to Superman, joined by sensational artist Rags Morales (IDENTITY CRISIS), to bring you tales of The Man of Steel unlike any you’ve ever read! This extra-sized debut issue is the cornerstone of the entire DC Universe!

Justice League #1: Comics legend Geoff Johns and Jim Lee make history! In a universe where super heroes are strange and new, Batman has discovered a dark evil that requires him to unite the World’s Greatest Heroes! Written by Geoff Johns, Art and cover by Jim Lee and Scott Williams.

Batman #1: Bruce Wayne is back in the cowl, hunting a new and deadly killer in Gotham City – a killer with a vendetta against Bruce Wayne! Detective Comics #1: DC’s flagship title is relaunched for the first time ever, with new Batman adventures from acclaimed writer/artist Tony S. Daniel! A killer called The Gotham Ripper is on the loose on Batman’s home turf – leading The Dark Knight on a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Nightwing #1: Dick Grayson flies high once more as Nightwing in a new series from hot new writer Kyle Higgins (BATMAN: GATES OF GOTHAM)! And as he embraces his destiny, Haley’s Circus, the big top where Dick once performed, returns to Gotham City – bringing with it murder, mystery and superhuman evil. Nightwing must confront his past, among former friends and enemies from his circus days, while uncovering a much greater evil!

Marvel: Marvel’s event, called "Fear Itself," by Matt Fraction, Stuart Immonen, Wayne Von Grawbadger, and Laura Martin, started in April and is still going on today. Joe Quesada, Marvel’s, Chief Creative Office said that Marvel has always reflected the real world, and its heroes "represent the best in us." He asks, "What happens when fear gets so prevalent that it seems the norm?" and added that the line between hero and villain will be blurred... and crossed. Beginning in July of 2011, the X-Men's world changed forever!
